  • Overview

    The Associate/Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting; recruit, screen and recommended placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).

     

    The Associate/Recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for field positions throughout the company in addition to assisting with Corporate HR functions as needed. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, clerical duties and a basic knowledge of personnel policy, procedure and employment practices in accordance with federal and state law.

    1. Partner with hiring managers and clients to determine staffing needs.
    2. Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments, reference/background checks, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver employment offers for non-exempt position openings within an assigned territory.
    3. Serve as an expert for recruiting and assigning candidates within an assigned territory.
    4. Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, telephone, community outreach, etc.
    5. Develop and recommend advertising programs (internal and external) in order to ensure high visibility with potential candidates. Act as liaison with area advertising agencies, process and check advertising agency billings, record status of authorized positions within the corporations, employment verifications, employee referral program.
    6. Manage internal transfer process including screening, coordination of interview with hiring manager, transfer offer letter, etc.
    7. Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on the interview process status.
    8. Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
    9. Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, non-competition agreements, etc.).
    10. Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
    11. Manage current candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for Upstate area.
    12. Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
    13. Maintain memberships and affiliations with sources related to recruiting to include but not limited to SCWORKS, Greenville News, Career Builder, Indeed, Craig's List, local colleges, churches and other businesses in community.
    14. Assist in handling complaint phone calls to summarize complaint and forward to HR Manager and the appropriate Operational Manager when appropriate.
    15. Conduct exit interviews on employees whose employment is ending within assigned area.
    16. When needed, assist new employees in completing new hire packets, process e-verify & drug test.
    17. Assist employees to log-on to electronic payroll system when needed – in person and by telephone.
    18. Assign Rapid Pay Cards when needed
    19. Assist when necessary with HR and Corporate tasks as needed to include but not limited to data entry, unemployment, VOEs, switchboard, HR audits, HR receptionist.
    20. Attend company events and assist as needed.
    21. Assist with implementation of electronic recruiting and onboarding process of new system by Ultimate Software, Ulti-Pro.

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree.
    2. Minimum of one year relevant recruiting experience.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
    2. HRIS experience.
